AFS

Him Academy Public School at HAPS has been committed to a comprehensive development of its students, hence another worthy association with AFS (American Field Service). AFS is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization. Through this valuable association students are provided intercultural learning opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding that are needed to create a more just and peaceful world.

AFS in Him Academy Public School has provided many opportunities to the students to participate in short term Cultural Exchange Programmes. Our educators have attended multiple training programmes aimed at developing their global competency and 21st century skills.

  1. A student exchange programme under AFS has been organised between the students of Suchitra Academy, Hyderabad and Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar.
  2. A student exchange program under AFS has been organized between RKK, Jodhpur and Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar.
  3. Students and teachers participated in virtual training workshops organised by AFS.
  4. Virtual training session for educators under the heading "Pathways to Global Classroom".
  5. Students participated in virtual Effect+ training session.
  6. Students participated in AFS 'India Master Chef' programme.
  7. Students participated in AI Bootcamp in collaboration with MAMS and STEMpedia.
  8. Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar, hosted a Virtual Painting Competition on the theme 'Paint the Environment' with a sub-theme 'Save Water Save Life', drawing participation from students across India.
  9. Under AFS, two students of HAPS Dhanusha and Aditi went on their transformative nine-month journey in Japan through the Asia Kakehashi Project.
  10. Students participated virtually in a self-composed poem competition and the Snapshot Saga event on the theme 'Sustainable Envision Feast'.
  11. Students participated in "Insight Exchange-A Virtual Group Discussion" on the theme 'Should both developed and underdeveloped countries have equal binding in combating climate change.
