At Him Academy School, we are committed to developing essential 21st century skills like creativity, innovation, critical thinking, creative thinking, sociality, unity and leadership in our students. To support this project, we have set up Atal Tinker Lab (ATL) in the school. Transform it into realistic, do-it-yourself (DIY) projects. ATL was developed by NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in students. It also provides them with modern skills like design thinking, computational thinking, adaptive learning and physical computing. Devices, robots, open source microcontrollers, sensors, 3D printers and computers. The lab has many initiatives like ATL Marathon, Smart India Hackathon, ATL Tinkerpreneur Exhibition, Workshop and Lecture Series, all of which aim to promote innovation and hands-on learning. HAPS, one of the best boarding school in India, is proud to offer this unique opportunity to enhance students' creativity and skills through Atal Tinkering Lab.
At HAPS, we take great pride in the amazing results our students have achieved in various innovation and technology challenges.
At ATL Marathon 2020, our team (consisting of Rishit Sharma, Shatakshi Thakur and Anveshika) performed very well by being selected among the top 300 teams in the country for their project ‘Krishi Seva App’.
Building on this success, the ‘Tech Aura’ team comprising Ishaan Sharma, Riddhi Sharma and Lakshy Sharma was selected by 350 top teams in India for their innovative ‘Patient Health Monitoring Device’ at the ATL Marathon 2022.
Our students also shine at national events like the Smart India Hackathon, where Rishit Sharma and Shatakshi Thakur’s innovations were selected as finalists by showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills in a competition organised by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education.
At the ‘Youth Smart India Hackathon 2023’, a national initiative of AICTE and the Ministry of Education, our school was lucky enough to have two teams and three innovative ideas selected for the next competition. The group comprising Oajaswini Gautam, Samriti, Parthvi Sharma and Anamika Parkash came up with the concept of ‘de culture’ in the context of heritage and culture. Other panelists including Sabhya Mahajan, Shad Alam, Athrav Soni, Athrav Chauhan, Ritvik Vardhan and Anika Gupta discussed topics like ‘Fire in our lives’ on the theme of smartness, robots, drones and sleep-deprived drivers in cars.
Our students are also participating in the Dassault Systèmes Foundation’s Seed of Future Entrepreneurs program in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission-NITI Aayog. In the 2022-2023 session, a team of six students including Sabhya, Sadik, Ishaan, Pranshu, Shashwat and Shad Alam worked on self-defense using bionics as a basis.
In the 2023-2024 session, another group including Chinmay Sharma, Rudra Singh Bhardwaj, Yashoverdhan Atri, Akshar Diwan, Vishesh Dhatwalia and Yajat Nayyer did a green project on family values.
Our commitment to fostering innovation and excellence has been recognized with many prestigious awards. HAPS has been named ATL School of the Month by Atal Innovation Mission four times. The school also received a Certificate of Merit to celebrate ATL Community Day, which demonstrates our commitment to supporting the new youth in the country and organizing ATL community events. Being India’s best boarding school, HAPS is proud of this achievement and is committed to providing an environment that continues to encourage and support students in their new pursuits.
