This Award Program originated in the UK in 1956 as the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (DEAS). The aim was to help the young people bridge the gap between adolescence and adulthood smoothly and involve them in a balanced program of voluntary self-development activities.
The school, being one of the best Indian boarding schools, has taken an initiative to launch this award for the overall development of the students and to consolidate, integrate and channel their energies in the right direction. Based on three certificate course namely Bronze medal, Silver medal, and Gold medal, various activities are carried out in four different fields of skill service, Physical Recreation, and Adventure. In this session(2015-2016) 93 students are taking an active part in the activities opted by them for the Bronze award. Being the best CBSE boarding school in India, we understand the importance of skill-building, activities, and appreciation in a student's journey.
