Round Square

Round Square was initiated in Him Academy Public School Vikas Nagar in the year 2017. Round Square is a network of 180 schools from 45 countries across five continents. International Award for Young People (IAYP)

The International Award for Young People (IAYP) is the most adaptable and successful youth empowerment program. Around the world, more than 130 countries use this model for positive youth empowerment.
The Award Program was first introduced in the United Kingdom in 1956 as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The aim was to motivate young people aged between 14 and 25 years to become involved in a balanced program of voluntary self-development activities to take them through the potentially difficult period between adolescence and adulthood. The Award’s concept is one of individual challenge, giving young people a balanced, non-competitive program of voluntary activities which Encourage personal discovery and growth, self-reliance, perseverance, responsibility to themselves and service to their community. Those who participate in the Award are expected to follow its requirements in a non- competitive manner with a determination to succeed, either individually or as part of a team. The Award therefore is challenging, and can be undertaken at your own pace. ...
The Participation Age is between 14 and 25 years. The basic structure of the Award consists of 4 mandatory sections Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills and Physical Recreation. There are 3 levels of the Award – Bronze, Silver &Gold. Participants must complete the four mandatory sections of Service, Adventurous Journey, and Skill & Physical Recreation. Participants can undertake all three categories of the Award program or enter directly at any of the three levels in the following age group; Bronze Award (for those over 14), Silver Award (for those over 15) and Gold Award (for those over 16 years). The minimum period of participation is 6 months for Bronze, 12 months for Silver and 18 months for Gold. For each of these levels a participant is required to undertake activities under each of the four sections. At Gold level, participants undertake a Residential Project in addition. School provides assistance in successful completion of the award by organizing Adventure trip at Barot Mandi HP.Read more

MUN Club

Model United Nations, also known as MUN, is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn about functioning of Indian Democracy, Diplomacy, International relations and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches research, public speaking debating and writing skills , in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities. Participants in Model UN Conferences referred to as delegates are placed in committees and assigned countries or occasionally other organizations or political figures, to represent. ...Above mentioned delegates need to present their topic based assignments before the committee for further discussion. Delegates conduct research debate with their fellow delegates in committee. Model UN participants include students at the middle school and senior school level. Mock Parliament

Through Mock Parliament Him Academy Public School always emphasizes to enhance the leadership qualities of the students and an understanding about Democracy & its functioning and Democratic rights as well. By this Parliament students make themselves able to understand the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, amendment process and formation of various laws.

House System

Him Academy Public School has four houses named after renowned scientists of the nation. They are Raman, Bhabha, Aryabhatta and Bose house. Each house has a teacher in charge, House Captain and Vice captain. All students are divided into above mentioned houses. The house system of the school aims to provide students an ample opportunity for overt expression, enhance their competitive spirit, less stage fear, sense of pride and self esteem by organizing various inter house competitions at regular intervals in a supportive and secure environment. ...

NCC is a Tri services organization comprising the army naval and air force. Engaged in grooming the youth- “the leader of tomorrow “ in to discipline and patriotic citizens.They are given professional training which include marching, weapon training and First aid. The cadets participate in annual training every year and participate in a number of competitions. These discipline cadets learn to live and work for others with pride and dignity. HAPSVN Hamirpur holds the Army Wing NCC Unit which was started in the year 2018. Today we have contingent of 45 Cadets. The students who become cadet after joining the NCC are both boys and girls. NCC in the school campus in under 4HP(I)COY NCC Hamirpur. Each year one Annual Training Camp is arranged by the unit where number of activities are organised. ...
Aim of NCC activities is to prepare the cadet academically and physically for entry into NDA and other walks of life.NCC training is an integral part of this school training programme, Parades, Range Firing, Community service are conducted on regular basis. To develop a sense of Social and Civic responsibility among the students, N.S.S. unit of Him Academy Public School Vikas Nagar, organizes community service programmes like Cleanliness campaigns, Awareness spreading programmes, Tree plantation, Literacy programmes, Maintenance of places of historic importance, or temples, constructing roads, Blood donation camps, Beti Bachao Abhiyan and Mock drills to fight natural disasters or calamities. N.S.S. unit also organize one day camps and seven days special camp every year. Dance & Music

Diversities in all spheres make the Indian culture quite unique. Indian Folk and Western dances are the product of different socio- economic set up and traditions evolved ages. In India, we have festivals and celebrations virtually every day and this has added to the richness of Indian Culture. The school has its own Art & Craft room, Dance & Music room and International room. Wherein all sorts of latest musical instruments are available to impart vocational training in music and dance as well . To make the students familiar with their varied culture and traditions various dance forms i.e. Classical, Folk, Western, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Zumba are practiced under the extreme supervision of trained trainer of Him Academy Public School. These different forms of dances are also performed during various events, days and festivals celebration in the school. Every Indian festival i.e. Holi, Diwali, Christmas etc. are celebrated with great enjoy and enthusiasm.


Artisitic Activities

Poster Making & Painting competition - Every event organized in the school is celebrated with great zeal. To express joy & happiness between each other various poster making competitions are organized so that students can enhance their artistic skills. A good picture is considered as equal to thousand words in itself. To increase the understanding level of the students with different colors, school also organizes various painting competition at regular intervals.
Rangoli Competition - To increase the creativity among the students and how to make ‘best out of waste’ in the different color form, school also organizes various Rangoli competitions.
Wall Painting - Under the extreme supervision of Art & Craft department of the school, students learn various forms of wall painting. Wall paintings and stone paintings done in the school are the major center of attraction. Art & Craft department of the school also teaches the students to prepare and decorate various props for school functions.
