Society is the network of relationships where every individual has his role to play. Someone is a teacher, he must know that teaching is an art of communication and also of motivating students to learn. When he thinks of the job, he must think of playing a very good role as a teacher. In that state he becomes vigorous. He livens others with his cheerfulness. While playing a role he detaches himself from his possessions. He becomes objective in his behaviour and he becomes a very good counseller. He, like other members of society, has to play different roles in different situations. He may be a teacher in one place and a father, a brother, a son,or an uncle in the other. Parents likewise play different roles, may be of a teacher, a friend or guide. But playing the role is not an easy task. It needs dedication and devotion. It is the creation of something new. We know that creativity is the nature of the soul. When we create something new, it becomes a fun. If you follow the beaten track, there is no creativity, there is no fun and there is no motivation. If you follow a new path hurdles come. You have to apply your mind and devise something new to overcome those hurdles. That something new is the creativity. In a drama a man plays different roles. He is not tired. He enjoys his role which others also enjoy. Suppose someone plays the role of Lord Rama in some drama, he is dispossessed of his “self“ at that very moment. People rejoice over his joys and feel sad over his misfortunes. His subjectivity vanishes. He becomes the role model of the real Rama.He becomes Rama for the time being.Role playing is an art. It brings dynamism in life. It puts an end to stagnation. All scientific and technological advancements in the world are the outcome of human urge to do something new or to create something better than the previous one.We cannot budge an inch if we just follow the beaten track and do not think of something new. Had it been so, the human race would have been living in its uncivilized state. Creating something new has made nature man“s slave. All this change is the result of man“s thinking new thoughts and working over them. This keeps man busy. Life without adventure becomes dull. Nevertheless the path of adventure is full of risks and dangers. But we know that purity of gold is proved in the flames of fire and man“s worth comes out of the travails of adventure. Let us play our role well and feel well..!
