' Make in India' programme was launched by Prime Minister Narinder Modi on 25 September 2014.It is an initiative of the Govt. of India to encourage the multinational companies to manufacture their product in India. Govt. of India is of the view that if India is to be a prosperous country it will have to focus on job creation and skill enhancement in different sector of economy. For this India should emerge as the top destination globally for foreign direct investment. The ultimate objective is to make India a renowned manufacturing hub for key sectors. Companies across the globe are invited to make investment and set up factories. They will expand their facilities in India. They will use India's highly skilled manpower to create world class zero defect products. The mission is to manufacture in India and sell the produccts worldwide.The skill development programme is launched especially for people from rural areas and poor one from urban cities. Make in India focuses on 25 sectors of economy such as telecommunications, power automobile, tourism pharmaceuticals and others. Manufacturing here would boost India's GDP, trade and economic growth. In response to the call by the Govt. of India top corporate hunches from India and abroad have shown their interest in launching this great programme. The top leaders of Tata group, Reliance, Samsung, Honda, Wipro and others have shown great interest. The programme is on the path of progress. Other corporate houses have also come forward. This programme is sure to boost not only the country's economy but also the employment market. The skilled manpower of our country will get opportunity to hone their potential. This programme is sure to give good results..
