This slogan contains the spirit of sportsmanship.Games prepare the students to meet the challenges of life. Duke of Wellington was the Commander-in-Chief of the British army. He is best remembered for his defeat of Napoleon in the decisive battle of Waterloo in 1815.When he was asked how he could manage that victory, his answer was simple, “The battle of Waterloo was won on the playfields of Eton.“ He studied in Eton and graduated from there. The discipline, coordination, qualities of leadership, and strategies that he learnt in the playfields of Eton made him victorious. Games help students discover their talent. They make them feel more determined and confident. Students get chance to meet different people They learn more about things outside their own environment. Games give them encouragement to face the challenges of life. They lay the foundation of good and successful life. Students also develop will power. They become more active, patient and disciplined. Games encourage the students tovplay for team rather than for personal attainment. It is rightly said that books develop our mind but games develop our body. Team work teaches the students to Cooperate with one another. They learn good manners and obedience. They learn time management. Games teach the students how to enjoy victory.They also teach them how to take defeat in a cheerful manner. Playing games is the best use of leisure time. It is a training ground to promote patriotism and national integration.
