Mind and body are closely related/connected.The connection is much more stronger than we think of it. There are 50 to 60 chemicals in the body that carry messages. The well known of these are called 'endophins'. These are responsible for carrying messages from brain to other parts of the body. Let us illustrate it with the help of an example : suppose you go for a morning walk. You are in a lonely place. You see something like a snake. You take it as a snake. Instantly the message of fear is conveyed to the brain. From brain to the spinal cord and then to the rest of the body. Instantly the body knows the fear and gets ready to face the situation. Heart beat increases, blood pressure increases and breathing becomes faster. Blood is diverted from brain to other parts of the body. As a result the body gets ready either to face the situation or to run away from it. Now you see it is the thought that creates the response. Body knows what the mind thinks and it acts accordingly. Thus belief is in our body and mind. If the mind thinks I'll do it or I,'ll succeed, the brain tells the body and it gets ready and responds positively.

That is why brain is called the physical organ of mind.It consists of brain cells. There is a huge network of brain cells.There are viberations going on in the living brain cells.The average viberation frequency in the brain is 20-22cps(cycle per second ) When the frequency of the viberation is lower, it is congenial for learning.At higher frequency the man is under stressful conditions. We are to devise such methods as may lower the brain wave frequency and create favourable atmosphere for learning.Yoga and meditation are some of these methods..
